Private collection, Westmount.At the height of his artistic powers, Graham Norwell was an artist of considerable talent and ability. The painting St. Adolphe d'Howard, Near Ste. Agathe, P.Q. is evidence to the fine quality of a composition and accomplishment of which he was capable.
Noteworthy in his career, Norwell exhibited at Toronto’s Hart House in 1924 in the company of other accomplished artists of the period including David Milne, Frank Hennessey, and Florence McGillivray,
In 1924, he was elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists.
Norwell exhibited intermittently with the Art Association of Montreal in 1922-1943 and the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts also during those same years, 1921-1943. His work is in the collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario and the National Gallery of Canada.
