Over a career spanning 5 decades, Jean Paul Riopelle created a body of work in which he demonstrated his creative genius in oil painting, watercolour, aerosol spray, collage, sculpture in bronze and in printmaking. As is witnessed by Riopelle’s iceberg series of oils, he is able to paint a significant range of expression, limiting his palette to various tones of black and white.
“The fruit of Silence is Prayer
The fruit of Prayer is Faith
The fruit of Faith is Love
The fruit of Love is Service
The fruit of Service is Peace”
