LCC Graduate Exhibition 2017

Thanks to the generosity of the Klinkhoff family, we eighteen LCC graduates had the immense privilege of displaying our art at the prestigious Klinkhoff Gallery for a few days. Displaying our work has given us the opportunity to showcase our individual pieces, but also to highlight the importance of being involved in the arts throughout high school. We would like to extend our never-ending gratitude to the Klinkhoff family for lending us their space, as well as to Mrs. Carol Loeb, Mr. Chris Shannon, Mr. Alec Mathewson, and the LCC Communications staff for all of their hard work and dedication. Thanks to them, this project was able to successfully come to life. For most of us, it was our first opportunity to exhibit our art in a gallery; it was truly a momentous occasion. A few had the privilege of participating in this show for the second time, since this exhibition took place for the first time last year. Our excitement was radiating off the walls, and we're extremely thankful to display our growth as artists. As young artists, seeing our work displayed on the walls of such a distinguished gallery is awe-inspiring and feels like a dream, especially considering that some of the most prominent artists in Canadian history have pieces hanging alongside ours. We've all spent so much time working on our paintings, drawings, and sculptures, and we could not imagine any reward greater than this unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you a thousand times over to those who came out to support us and to all who contributed to the show's success. Your selfless commitment is what allows young artists to make their mark in doing what they love, and what pushes us all to follow our passion. Yours sincerely, The LCC Graduating Class of 2017
