This is a rare and fine study of Joan Roberts, wife of Goodridge Roberts. Joan published in Joan & Goodridge: My Life with Goodridge Roberts: “I loved his work and the feeling and sensitivity it demonstrated. His paintings were no mere decorative depictions of rocks and water, but to me statements about life and about himself. Perhaps I fell in love with the works first, but to me they seemed inseparable from the man who had created them” [1]
