This is a brilliant Montreal vignette and one showing Little’s humour. Napoleon is but a few blocks long, a street in the Plateau area of Montreal, a neighbourhood with Jewish and Portuguese roots. Legendary smoked meat emporium restaurant Schwartz’s, (now owned by a consortium including Celine Dion) and Moishes are located where Napoleon meets The Main, St. Lawrence Boulevard.
Little has immortalized an image “for the family album”, as he might say, the back of a classic Plateau “plex” with a resident bathing suit clad, sunning out back.
