This square, named after an owner of the property in the 18th century, has undergone a number of transitions over the last 75 years. Many of my contemporaries will remember it as where the Planetarium was located. Taylor, an architect by training and an artist with a social conscience, found a stimulating contrast between the modest housing on St Jacques with the tower of the Bell Canada Building looming in the background.
