John Fox Retrospective Exhibition Dates Set

Enigmatic artist stars in 37th non-selling show

John Fox, Venice, 1956

Galerie Walter Klinkhoff is pleased to announce that our 37th annual retrospective exhibition will celebrate the work of the important Canadian artist John Fox, R.C.A. (1927-2008). The works featured in the exhibit will be on loan from private collections. John Fox remained an enigmatic figure in the Canadian art world throughout his career, one which spanned almost six decades. Independent-minded, his intention was to never work within the constraints of any art dogma or theory. An artist, professor and art teacher, Fox's oeuvre will be visited in our exhibition through three accomplished stages of its evolution. Clearly, this important and influential artist is one to be collected by astute Canadian buyers of contemporary art.

This non-selling exhibition opens on September 11, 2010 at 1pm and continues until the 25th. We encourage curators, collectors, academics, students and enthusiasts to visit us at 1200 Sherbrooke Street West in Montreal, or online at klinkhoff.com.
