Our non-selling John Little exhibition highlighted his œuvre's depiction of the impact of urban renewal throughout North America. Paintings from the Estate of the Late William I M. Turner Jr., including some by Albert Robinson, among others.

2015 a été une année mémorable pour la Galerie Alan Klinkhoff / Alan Klinkhoff Gallery. La qualité des œuvres que nous avons vendues à de nouvelles générations qui en assureront la conservation était exceptionnelle, et nous sommes reconnaissants envers les clients et amis qui ont encouragé par leurs acquisitions le développement de nos galeries à Montréal et à Yorkville. L’esprit d’équipe et un engagement considérable en énergie et planification, sans oublier l’investissement financier, ont permis à notre famille de réaliser le démarrage de deux « jeunes pousses » en deux ans.

Congratulations to the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (MNBAQ) for the exhibition "Morrice and Lyman in the Company of Matisse," which opened yesterday. To borrow eleven works by Matisse is no simple feat and to see alongside them more than fifty outstanding paintings by Morrice and so many by Lyman was a great privilege. This is a marvellous exhibition and it was a pleasure to celebrate the occasion with you.

Guido Molinari is famous for his vertical band paintings. This one, dated 1968, is from a series that occupied him during the sixties. What is less known is what prompted him to adopt this vertical format, the complete elimination of the horizontal, and the absence of any suggestion of depth in his painting. To answer these questions, one has to contrast Molinari’s approach to painting with the kind of abstract painting developed by Borduas and the Automatistes.
